There will be three preliminary rounds. At the first round players are chosen to games at random.
Every player will score as many points per game as she has defeated opponents in the game. For example, winner of four player game scores three points, the second scores two and third one scores one.
At the second round players are chosen to games in descending score order. If scores are tied and players can’t ”fit” to the same game then the order will be between tied players is randomized.
At the third round the seating is determined same as at the second round.
After three preliminary rounds the semifinal rounds are played according to the following table:
|Participants||Players in Semifinals|
|8-11||No semifinals, 4 best proceed directly to the finals|
|12-20||8 best from preliminaries|
|21-25||10 best from preliminaries|
Semifinals have one round. The ”odd” players (1st, 3rd,…) by rank are seated to the first player and the ”even” players (2nd, 4th,…) by rank to the second. Two best from both games will proceed to the final.
In case there will be more than 25 preregistered players and the organizer finds enough games to accommodate more players to the tournament, the groupings will be adjusted.
